I believe the correct depth is so that the shoulder on the seal end is flush with the bottom mating surface of the barrel.

Pushrod tubes
I have purchased a set of stainless steel pushrod tubes and had the barrels media blasted. Is it a good idea to use a sealant when replacing them in the barrels? I'm thinking hylomar. R100rs 1981 model.
