I'm a big fan of load testing batteries. With motorcycles, tractors, mowers and quads around my place I have quite a number of batteries to look after. I've saved a lot of money by investing in a load tester.

So I ran a load test. The battery can not hold a load or a get a full charge via the tender It dropped from 12.4 volts at peak with my analog meter needle visibly falling. so I may return with a new old acid battery as these BMW gels for newer bikes don't work as well and won't last more than 3 years. The acid batteries of the past lasted over 4 to 5 years.
I always brake in corners and think how I am going to get home if I really mess up. When I get home, I wished that I hadn't used my brakes and should have ridden a bit further.

What sort of charger are you using? The new gel batteries need different chargers to the old style. I experienced this when trying to bring my completely discharged motobatt back to life. As a matter of fact even the new charger couldn't kick the battery back to life. But what did work was to hook the motobatt up to my truck with jumper leads and get some charge into the motobatt. After that, the new smart charger was able to charge the motobatt properly to 12.7 volts.
