In changing the starter switch (1973-1/2 R75/5) I think the connector block in the headlight bucket is bad (I suspect that one of the slider-blocks does not because it will not tighten up on the wires) so I figured I would just order a new one BUT...
The one in my headlight bucket is a 6 terminal and the one in the parts book (07 11 9 977 625) is only a 4 terminal, the one on the bike is full so I think I need another 6 terminal connector block.
The one on the bike has the bolt coming from outside of the bucket at about the 8 o clock position holding the block in place so I think it is "correct".
Hucky's phone has been busy all day and Vech hides on Saturday, HELP!

Re: Today's /5 question
Are you talking about one of these?

He's talking about #7 here:

I would think most any good electrical supply place (not RatShack) would have something like this.

Re: Today's /5 question
Actually, Radio Shack does carry them, I was told that by A vendor that was previously mentioned in this thread.
The one from BMW is a little overpriced, and last time I bought one, it came with 12 positions.
PM me your address. I can send you one for $3.00 including the shipping. I stock a white 6 position version that I use with my harness business.
Pm me and I'll give you the Paypal info.

Re: Today's /5 question
Hans saved the day, he knew what I needed and he had one so it's on it's way.
So since I was held-up on electrics today I:
installed the Hagon shocks (using new, hardened bolts), changed the rear-end oil and installed a Dimple magnetic plug, changed the drive-shaft oil, changed the gearbox oil and installed a Dimple magnetic plug.
Tomorrow it's:
Install the LED turn signal bulbs (the relay will go in after the new connector gets put in), install the control-box wedges, modify the grips (I'm using cloth bicycle handlebar tape), Install the new MAC deep sump and if the spring shows up install the widened centerstand wirh new bolts/washers/bushings.
I'm trying to make good use of the bike being down.
