Do you have to take the tank off to check your tappets?

Used to be (when I lived there) no sales tax on clothing in Pennsylvania. Prolly still the case.Zombie Master wrote:They absorb the sales tax even if you walk in!
For years I wore a pair of AXO-MX boots – Top-notch for protection.Garnet wrote:I bought these Alpinstars MX boots in 1974.
Very comfy and I use them a lot on the street.
You can't go wrong with good quality.

I just unbolt it and prop it up with a piece of wood. No need to drain it.Zombie Master wrote:

One size fits all. (with a shoe horn)

There is this boot in TCX. Not too expensive, but I don't like to see an exposed zipper.vanzen@rockerboxer.com wrote:Garnet wrote:I currently wear a pair of TCX boots that are close to MX in protection
but more flexible and more walking friendly,
Heavy duty black leather, gore-tex membrane, reflective patch on the heel,
and NO goofy-graphics, colors, or stripes.

There is always a zipper under the velcro closure. I just like to see zippers completely covered. I've had to replace all the velcro with snaps on critical closures on my gear after about a year.
