A bike built after the fall factory holiday is the next year's model. What is so hard about that?
This goes to the type of guy that bought an Airhead. He wanted one, because he was mechanically challenged, and did not want to know anything about the workings or designations of a machines.
I
always buy a leftover, so all my bikes were built in the preceding year.

I dunno ME 109. I don't know much about ladies (or lady BMW motorcycles) but I'm thinking that they want to believe that the gifts were given out of pure love. And pure love doesn't expect a return on investment, as it were. It makes it sound so as if they were bought.
I'm thinking she would appreciate a 6 pack of that super premium oil that you don't think is really needed. And a tender polishing session might also be a really good idea.
Ken, divorced in OKlahoma
I gave my wife a nice polishing session just last night.
Now all I have to give her is a 6-pack?
Now it's your turn, your hard abs (6 pack) missionary position.

What make's it hard is a bike like my R90. Built in 9/75 using many 1975 parts, like the small nose cam and small spigot engine block. Sold as a 76 model. When you need to buy parts you need to get 1975 PR tube grommets and cylinder base gaskets. The rocker blocks are 1975 design as well, but the electricals and the 11mm crankshaft bolts are all 76.
In my opinion a manufacturer shouldn't call something a new model unless it has all the upgrades that the new year machines are supposed to have. It should be a 1975.5 model.

The contrast was fine, the tone was not adjustable.

Couldn't we create a special section on the forum just for FunH ("Fun with Fun")? He did have some good points and a passion for airheads, he just didn't have a way with words and diplomacy.
Where is GSPD? Did he get himself banned as well?

Very good idea, Matt. I miss the fun of FunH and I suspect GSPD did too - perhaps that's why he disappeared. With very few 'real' experienced BMW mechanics here we are blundering about somewhat when it comes to mechanical problems. Come back GS - we need you. I'd like to see Jean return, too.

He's got a new squeeze, and is busy poilshing something other than his bike.
The snow will melt in a couple of months or he'll have to come up for air and he'll wonder back with a stupid grin on his face.
