Do the sell roo on the supermarkets down there? :?

I like to stop at the meat section and check out the rump, as well as parts of the chicken section.

Roo? Sure. Roo steaks, roo sausages. I haven't eaten it yet but it's no big deal.
I have roos around my house almost every day. No shit.
Actually there is lots of roo shit. They even come into my yard at night.

I once low sided on some dropped eggs so nowadays I take it easy through the fresh produce aisles. Besides, there is often really fresh produce to check out. :P
Gently gently enjoying the fresh produce .... ;)

Why buy it when there is plenty of roadkill. They don't sell roadkill helper in Oz.

Kangaroo meat is available in supermarkets but has only appeared in the last decade or so. It is virtually fat-free and sweet and tender when properly cooked. It really is the perfect meat animal for carnivorous Australians and there are untold millions of them. Sheep and cattle have destroyed the native grasses by tearing out the roots during drought years, and their sharp hooves disturb the topsoil which becomes airborne. Of course, the problem for the capitalist approach to food production is that kangaroos can't be fenced in and 'owned'.
