What do you spin at 100 km ?
I've only taken notice about 5000 times. I think it's 3800 @ 100k.
Then there is also the inaccuracy of the speedo to consider. Mine is about 10 k optimistic.
Yeah , good point .I don't have a GPS so really have no idea of my real speed .

I get near red line nearly every time I ride. Don't want to get a cylinder bore ridge

The R65 loves to rev...so it does. It see the red line many times on every ride, and often hits 8,000rpm if I forget to watch the tacho...

So if I regularly rev the shit out of my engine I won't have a case of the dreaded cylinder bore ridges?

Stock valve train will take 7500ish before it begins to float. With a 336 cam the engine is making good power above 7000 so it is worthwhile lightening the valve train to make it safe up to 8000.
I know a guy who has his heads done by a guy who uses skinnier valve stems. I'm thinking it's 8mm. Anyway, he says it revs up much more readily.

Unlike coitus where we never ever go all the way in, the piston rings need to go as far in as possible to avoid creating an area that is unused, therefore creating a ridge. This could cause a catastrophic failure if that point is finally reached after a long period of operation. So I recommend regular trips to redline along with the production of large stools.

Sounds like a real large stool to me.

I tend to rev my engine hard throughout the gears, though not to the point of redlining it,
I thought redlining would be detrimental to the engine yes?
