Glad to hear you survived this. There are always more bikes!

Well the insurance accesor and I came to an agreement and so I now have another project. The bike is mine.
I've just won the bidding on a 1975 R75/6 frame - lets hope it's straight, it will be tax exempt september next year.
I have meanwhile bought another BM, a 1981 R100RT as my runabout - first thing I did was to remove the fairing (again as I sold this bike to a pal 12 years ago)and put on some euro handlebars.
It needs a bit of sorting and then I can start to strip the mono and note the differences in the frames. Is there a dimensional drawing of the frame available?
Trouble now is I've run out of room to store all of these bikes and their bits!

Despite the crash, it sounds like a reasonable result which will lead to another airhead re-birthing! Great result and I'm sure you'll get lots of enjoyment from the build.

Now then will these gears all fit into a smooth gearbox shell?

I tried right clicking on the photo in your link, but it didn't work, so I just removed everything after ".jpg" and :

I don't know, as that box was well past my time. I am old, really old.

If I sight the two frame tubes that sit either side of the swinging arm across the frame under the battery then I can see that they're slightly misaligned but it looks like the swinging arm itself is bent - which I was surprised at as being a Mono it is a hefty bit of kit!

I only know about the older frames. They weren't the same from side to side. Little can be learned from eye sighting frame members. The mono has no two sides on the swing arm to have an axle to insert. Different game. I would string line the wheels.

I can't string line the wheels as it's stripped and the swinging arm is bent. Besides my intentions are to strip this frame of its brackets and stiffeners and put them onto a 1975 frame.
