Make sure the wiring to the relay is in order, don't want to fry a new relay. :o

Anyone know how to test?

Grant,

You can't really tell about a solder connection from just the looks. I worked in an electronics repair facility for 40 years. Get some rosin solder and go over every solder joint on the board. If you have the good stuff, like a 60/40 mix, use that.
The new lead free stuff is crap.

Gidday,

Jeff - The wiring is all good, excellent condition and everything else has plugged and worked as it should

Jagarra - Mate I am just not confident enough with electrics, if and when the new relay arrives and it still does not work then I shall dig a little deeper, its is the silly way to go about it but its still cheaper than myself having to get a auto electrician to look at the old one for a fee and it still does not work..

+1

I always thought it was Grant until I saw the campout pictures.

Gidday

Jeff & Rob - That bloke is the little know Aussie adventurer Francis Birtles, an amazing man and incredible story to read about, btw his book is a great read when he drove his car from London to Australia back in the early 1900's without many roads across the deserts and then down through Asia. (Pete would enjoy the read!!! :) )
He set many driving records criss crossing Australia from city to city, he even rode his push bike around Australia mapping out a lot of the roads that we use and know of today, but ask people have you heard of him over here and sadly bugger all would know his name..

His story has always fascinated me, he never gave up!!

Grant, feel free to open and look inside the flasher relay I gave you. Never know, there might be a simple solution?

Gidday,

So the new flasher relay from Motobins arrived and into the headlight bucket it went and on went the key.... Yep all is now working as it should and the green dash indicator is also now working properly, this issue is now put to bed :)

No more electric issues that I am aware of after the install of a complete new wiring loom.
