Excellent, Mal. And of course the oldies can come. The youngies too. It'll be just like any birthday party, with the geriatrics propped around the walls and the brats chasing each other around and knocking over the beers. Singing 'Happy Birthday' in several discordant keys will also be a requirement. Brunhilde will be ready to tuck up her skirts for a 'knees up'.Mal S7 wrote:Sounds Great. I have it marked in the calendar.
Can the over 30's still come? Its the last year for a Contiki tour for my /7, but she can still party.
cheers
Mal

Gidday fellas,
Hey Charlie, great stuff to get the thread idea back up and running again, but unfortunately I have the 12th/13th Nov booked for the Bendigo Swap Meet, I have a good few large -ish parts being dropped off there from a bloke in Northern NSW that comes down to the swap meet yearly with a stall to sell and I have brought so I must collect, had it planned for quite sometime now......
Then today I got a call and email regarding the sale of my bike so now I have a bloke coming this Sunday morning to inspect the ole RS so I will have to see what the outcome is....

I strongly agree!Mal S7 wrote:Tell him the bike has a birthday party to attend.
Grant, if that bastard buys the bike he'd better bring it to the party ... just sayin'!
Pete, it'll be good to see you and your slightly younger RS at ...er ... wherever it is.

I'm in wherever whenever.
That 'ol racetrack is at Nymagee, smack bang in the centre of NSW. A fair days ride to get there.
Wee Jasper sounds good to me, last time I rode in there from Yass it was excellent bitumen all the way, with corners that one could easily sail off at 100mph while looking at the views.
Much less of a bush track across from Tumut tho'
Trouble is, most of us will only have two days, Wee Jasper might be pushin' it for some.
Prolly best to name a destination when we know who can go?
I agree with the chaps Grant, your RS has a birthday party to attend.

Count me in!.. the 12/13 looks good for me!..No real thoughts on where though... I think it is really a consideration of travel distance for the outliers..

Well, it's three weeks away now and so far we've got -
Mal
Doug
Pete
Jeff
Ken - not yet confirmed
Bob
Steve (of Melburg) possible
Ross - only if his bail application is successful
Charlie
Grant's bike - preferably ridden by Grant, once he figures how easy it is to get car parts delivered by truck.
Wee Jasper could be a good one - it's reasonably central to the pattern of dots on the map.
We'll see if more chime in. Feel free to invite anyone else who should be there. Bike-brand-wise, I think we are all reasonably open minded, and it's always fun to ask 'em when they are going to get a 'proper bike'.
Other things to consider are -
The cake
Master of ceremonies
Dress code - I think a bit of formality would be appropriate
Dancing girls - no confirmation yet from the Griffith Women's Soccer Team.
Gifts for the birthday bikes - perhaps, like the birthday for horses, we could declare the Saturday as a birthday for all the bikes and each bring a little something of modest monetary value and size, to pool and dole out at random.
Further thoughts?

Hmmm carrying the cake might be tricky, and messy in the tank bag ...
What about we reverse the process,
and each bring a piece, and assemble it there?
or go a stage further ...a camp oven?
Smoked sponge with icing anyone?
