And 3 amps. You can have the volts but lack the current.

A trickle charger sorts battery issues quickly. If it won't take a charge off the charger....

A bad diode board and give low output but it can also leak...the diodes don't clamp the reverse current. This will drain a battery. if you have current flow at the battery with everything off you want to look into it. I have this (and no clock) but the current is so small that I've decided to ignore it. Might Dx it someday when I have things apart. The diode board and the ignition module would be things to check. The ignition module has SSRs in it and those things always leak...

Never changed a diode board, rotor, stator, ignition module or beancan.
I've run the starter with the plugs out and ungrounded, for ten seconds (that was to *prime the oil circuit after rebuilding the engine to a certain degree after losing a valve head. Apparently, the valves don't go in either hole.

*As SS (Supershaft) (former Boxerworks member FH ) says, prime the circuit before starting.

I have however over twenty years, twice taken my diode board to the bearded man to the west, crossing rivers thrice at the loss of three ponies. (I caught a bus back both times)

I replaced a fuse once too. I think.
Ooh, and an alternator brush about 15 years ago.

Why does this always happen? We get two guys who know a lot and they argue. They don't just argue, insults start flying.

As I'm reading through this thread, I see posts from our recent participant that look for all the world to be an attempt at real, constructive, input. Was there something that went on before between Pitapan and robert? Otherwise, why would robert snipe at him? It didn't look warranted from what I read on this thread. While I have a great respect for robert, I am grateful for help that Pitapan seems to be trying to add to this forum. He does seem to have a bit of a wry sense of humor.

I think Thunderchild diode boards are a product of a man who lives in the San Diego area. WooHa! Local boy makes good. I don't care about sports teams so that's my attempt at regionalism.
