I didn't on my 74, handy place to grab it when you are wrestling it out of the frame.

Outside clean or inside renovation?

Just an external clean up and spline lube. I made up a concoction 25 years ago for the input shaft spline. I want to see how well the splines held up. I'll post a pic when I finally pull it out. I've been very slow to get this done! But it's not my only ride.

25 years! If they're good, it'll be nice evidence to not do them too often.
Mine was done about 100Kkm back. I'm waiting for a clutch, RMS or other problem to do them again.
