What is the current definition of a cafe racer? There isn't one bike there that fits the definition I grew up with... they're all too shiny for one thing...

Yeah, I never had a problem with a little dirt.
Trying to keep up with the "Scots" around here left me frustrated.

What is a cafe bike?
My definition (a Yank...) Is roughly a modified version of whatever you have in the shed. Dropped bars, maybe rearsets. I don't think the short distances involved in the U.K. required fairings that later showed up in Mad Max and the like.
The first time I spotted a RS in a Pink Panther movie, I about wet myself!
