Tach lens shattered!

OK, I get the idiot of the day award. While working on my bike I bumped into a 8' 2x6 I had carelessly stood up against the wall. Somehow it fell in slow motion toward my bike. I deflected it away from my tank at the last second only to have it land squarely on my tach. Needless to say the glass is no more, but no other damage was done.
Anybody know where I can get an 85mm disc of glass to replace it? It doesn't need to be antiglare. I think I can reuse the bezel. Can a local auto glass shop cut such a thing?
My Speedo lens was shattered when I bought the bike 21 years ago. I replaced it with an old lens with a chrome bezel off an Austin Healey. Fit like a glove. A pity I don't have another one of those.

I made a lens from plexiglass for my /2 about 6 years ago. It still looks good. It is under a fairing though and sees very little UV.

If you go that route, I would suggest Lexan. More $, but more scratch resistant.

More resistant to yellowing, as well.

What method did you use to cut it? I have drill press.

I used a bandsaw and then wet sanded the rough edges. I glued it in with Permatex Super Bonder.

Follow Doug's advice and use lexan. To be truthful, I don't know what kind of plastic I used. I bought a scrap at the local plastic store, and to me clear plastic is plexiglass.

The plastic store will cut it for you for a fee.

Just a thought....clear lexan may be had at your local outfitter store, i.e...REI, Whole Earth Provisions, in the utensil section -- a lexan dinner plate. Maybe there's a clear one to be had, for under ten bucks.

Big Box home improvement stores have Lexan in 8" X 10" sheets and up. I think the small sheets are .110" thick.

Got an 8x10 sheet of lexan at the local hardware for less than $4.00. Ran into an airhead friend in the parking lot. He told me a local glass shop cut him a glass one for under $5.00 a year ago. I'll check into that.
