If you pour 500ML of 140 wt gear oil down the side of your motorcycle lift and onto the wooden shop floor in 40 degree weather it is VERY hard to clean up.

The secrete is a harbor freight heat gun! Within seconds, a three inch circle liquifies and can be dobbed up with a rag. Works on metal or wood. Repeat until it quits beading up.

Hey MS, shouldn't there be a comma after 'oil' and before 'silly'?

Why, yes there should. BUT, I would never be so petty as to point that out myself....

Good tip. I'm sure my Crappy Tire (Canadian Tire) one would work just as well, and be nearly as cheapo!

Do check for hidden oil on your lift. It can sneak up on you. Give it a thorough inspection! :ugeek:

From MS, "Why, yes there should. BUT, I would never be so petty as to point that out myself.... "

Notice how cleverly he turned it around so deftly? Shheeesh.
