The 5/ and later were so well cooled that we never saw a heat problem when using those lowers. However, on the /2 the Wixom was a disaster when riding at speed in hot weather for several of my customers. I only recall one R69S blowing the top end, but many of the R60/2 did. However, I must admit that they were blowing up with out the lower too.

I think you need to where a black cape (with white piping) to ride a bike with the full-on Wixom set up.
Love those stand alone lowers though. Truly made for the moss covered Northwest rider. You could ride dry with your jeans on....almost.

AND they have white pinstripes too.
