Hi to all , refitting the instrument loom on a 1975 R90. Does the loom go underneath the lower triple clamp and then up to the instruments ? Its been a long time since its been worked on. Found some pictures on the web of where they supposedly lay/fit but shows a few different ways to route the loom. What is the correct route for the loom ?, prefer to do it right the first time. Has anyone have some correct pictures of the route for future knowledge. Yes i know i should have taken some pictures .
Thanks
Gary

I have seen it done both ways. If it goes up and over the lower yolk, it may eventually rub through the sheathing and insulation. This can cause the copper wires to break, or worse, short out.
If the loom goes under, then it requires a lot of unwiring to remove the yolk for fork work.
At least that is how I remember it.
Someone will jump in with an original bike and let us know what they have.
Ask the Indians what happens when you don't control immigration.
Thanks to all for replying , will try to refit the loom under the lower triple clamp. Also thought what Duane mentioned regarding the rubbing, to me looked like another headache waiting to happen.
