. . . I'll get this top end project completed pretty soon but I'm still a bit hampered by a finger that lost a first-round bout with a carbide tablesaw blade. The orthopedic surgeon told me, "Your days as a fashion photographer's hand model are over."

That's funny. I hope I never have an opportunity to use that line myself. (Note to self: Even though you pay attention to safety in the shop, pay more.)

I have successfully removed my right thumb through kick back with a 7" Makiita saw, it was also successfully reattached .... Thank you Mr Microsurgeon .

All free of course , socialism has it's adventages , especially when you are suddenly off work for a few months .

While we're at it I had thumb nail ripped clean out by a disc sander with a bit of the end of the the thumb still attached. Nail grew back but the thumb is a little smaller than it was and is the first to feel the cold on winter rides.
