Inadmissible evidence your honour! :o Well, at least he's replaced it with oem. What did he charge for the starter drive and three weeks wait? The EME one was 7 days from NA and USD30 + post.

BMW List Price $52.78
EME Price $30.00. No bosch markings, made in Brasil.

Bloody hell, Grant. The 'teething troubles' with this new RS are testing you. Sympathies attached.

ps: Sorry we missed you last Monday. Pete and I had a great run over the Dargo High Plain. Stopped at your shop briefly but needed to push on to Melburg - a pleasant ride via Noojee that I hadn't done before.

$220.00 was the cost.. He said he was waiting on the Bosch "drive" part (correct me if I had the wrong name for it) and you and me chatted about this at Christmas, I even rang Bosch and they had one left!! so are you saying it is not a Bosch part he put in there??

Charlie, yes it is testing me mate!!! , sadly today I had been pacing the house looking for matches as I could push it out the back on the lawn, dowse it with fuel and flick match to it, turn and walk away...

It would of been great to catch up when you called in, there's always a next time and I will most likely be riding the super K at this rate.

No, he replaced it with the right one...."at least he's replaced it with oem". I was wondering what he paid for it and what he charged you

Gidday,

This morning i returned the broken starter motor to the auto-electrician along with another nose cone and thanks once again to SteveD for the replacement part and quick postage, so I had the starter back in my hand by early afternoon and tonight into the bike it went and I starter the bike again.. :D

It started quickly with choke and idled a little fast off choke for a 90 seconds with no stumbles, no smoke from the pipes and no oil leaks to be seen anywhere :D Nice!!

I now have a unregistered vehicle permit for 21 days so this Saturday it will get a good ride to seat in the new rings, yes I have had a few dramas and set-backs with this bike :( so hopefully I can now enjoy a good few mile on the seat, get it registered and slowly keep fine tuning and sorting it out... Thanks
Cheers, Grant

Well done Grant,
You've had a lot of bad luck with this one, you haven't got any black cats in the area
have you ?
Looking forward to seeing you on the next run.
