clutch bolts

Post by equipo5 »

Can I use the new clutch bolts to replace the slotted type in my r75/5? (4 speed)
The new ones look like they will sit proud of the clutch and there doesn't seem much room in that space between the clutch and the gearbox/transmission.

Anyone done it?
cheers

I'd prefer to torque the clutch up than rely on my awkward and hard-to-use bargain price impact screwdriver

I've not done it but it's done on the /2s as well. You will need to trim the webbing on the bell housing of the transmission where the bolt heads might hit.

Hi - I used new bolts from the BMW dealership parts counter on my 1970 75/5. Stretch bolts.
