Mounting new Krauser mounts on R100

I just did a quick check and if I mount the rack behind the shock it looks like it works a charm. Thank you!

Your problem is that the upper front carrier mount attaches to the back side of the shock mount, not to the outside of the subframe and shock mount as you have it.

That was the first thing that came to mind when I saw your pictures. (beautiful bike!)

I had quite a time fitting my Krauser mounts to my R65 (a little different than a Type 247), but of course, I had to do it with a Reynolds rack on the rear, instead of buying the Reynolds loops, which would have been the smart thing to do.

But even with my (ha ha) Jerry-rigging, it stayed in place with only three mounts per side.
It seems to me I used some long spacers (plus some washers) back there on the back.
That said, I think the rig would be strongest if the mounts were butted up against the frame tab.

Yep, the front upper connection is on the shock mount and inside the frame.
Attach them there loosely at first.
Then get that rear bolt in position and put the nut on.
Then try and reposition the lower front mount to line up with the hole on the outside of the bracket. Wriggle it around a little if possible. If you need to pull it and force it to line up, then you may end up with a stress point encouraging a # somewhere. They're prone to # at the lower front weld.
