headlight adjustment

Post by michael »

My1992 R100RT headlight is aimed well for hunting squirrels at night. Is there a way to lower the beam? Thanks for any advice. BTW: I ride very little at night and don' feel upgrades are worth it.

The light bucket is head in place by a bolt on each side like other BMW's. You get your hands and wrench under your dash and loosen them then you can move left and right, up and down. They are cushioned by rubber washers so I left mine slightly lose so I could bump it after riding and making sure it was where I wanted. Check the beam, pull over and bump it and take off and try it again - Rod

Also, make sure your lens is not installed upside down.
