Valeo rebuild

I have a Valeo DR6 starter on my 1974 R90s (8 tooth)

It was making some terrible noises so after diassembling, it appears that the planetary gear cover loosened and slid down to contact the armature.

I purchased a new armature and rebuild kit (new planetary gear cover) but its not quite clear what holds the cover in place.

I assume it gets installed into the starter gear track. Does it just press in? What tool would you use?
