I'm confused, what else is new? I saw no reference to the term "Toaster" in the ad.
Why would someone store the bike with the valve covers off? Seems kinda dumb.
The bike does seem like a fairly good deal though.

From the look of the valve covers it was taken for a long slide on one, before someone pulled them off and yanked the (?) pushrods... still, parts is parts.Steve in Golden wrote:Why would someone store the bike with the valve covers off? Seems kinda dumb.

The original post was titled something like "1972 R75/5 "Toaster" on Craigslist." That's why ZM makes his comment about how the title didn't have to be changed - he said that right after the title had been changed.Steve in Golden wrote:I'm confused, what else is new? Did anyone say anything about the exhaust? It's missing. $1700 is still a good price though.Tim Shepherd wrote:From the look of the valve covers it was taken for a long slide on one, before someone pulled them off and yanked the (?) pushrods... still, parts is parts.Steve in Golden wrote:Why would someone store the bike with the valve covers off? I called this morning to see if he still had it. Sold to a "very knowledgable" enthusiast.
