I worked at an HD dealership in the late 70s and was shocked how easy it was to ride a full dressed FL?? into the showroom down the isle and into it's slot with my feet up. They must be designed to go slow.

They have no choice. They are slow, and poor value. They also require the most special tools to maintain.Garnet wrote:I worked at an HD dealership in the late 70s and was shocked how easy it was to ride a full dressed FL?? into the showroom down the isle and into it's slot with my feet up. I can't understand why anyone would buy one. I'm always very glad to see the police using them.

Suitability for "Parade Duty" is actually an important consideration in Harley design - probably more important than any other manufacturer.
What amazed me is not just how good that guy was, but how fast he was going.
